I panicked!

I just got my two blogs about baby gear and stuffed animals set up.

I was worried that I would have to tinker with things and maybe lose all my hard work.

The instructions say it’s easy, just follow the steps.

Ok.

After reading the steps carefully and doing exactly as I was told (or so I thought) I checked my sites.

   FATAL ERROR .    AAAAAAAHHHHH!!!!

Ok now what?

Check out the Forums.

Yes! There’s always lots of smart techies there who have lots of answers.

Oh no! Everyone is posting similar FATAL ERRORS and no answers.

I’m sunk.

After a lot of searching I came across a small post that simply advised, “You must do Step  #1 Item 2: Delete your old wp-includes and wp-admin directories (don’t be afraid)

Then do Item 3: Copy the new folders to your server.”

I went back and re-traced my steps, this time following the little gem of wisdom from the help forum (and not being afraid), after all I couldn’t make things any worse.

 Click the url and…..Eureka! They’re back!

My thanks to the techie (who’s username I can’t remember now) who made that little post in the wp forum.

Well I’m off to start my new blog all about collectibles.
